SUMATRAN TIGER

 Exploring the Sumatran Tiger

Sumatran Tiger

Sumatran Tiger is a population of Panthera Tigris Sondaica that inhabits the island of Sumatra. The Sumatran Tiger is also the only member of the Sunda Tiger subspecres that still survives today.

Sumatran tiger is the smallest tiger in the world. It has long whiskers and striped pattern in all type of them. This type of tigers have an amber eye for allowing them to hunt effectively in low-light condition. This tigers also have a sharp and powerful canines. The curved canines of the Sumatran tiger are a testament to their evolution.

The Sumatran tiger habits as a solitary predator are very strong. The tigers' skills as a strong swimmer are impressive. The active hunter's senses help it find prey. The nature of the tiger is shy, and its behavior is calm. The tigers' roaring produces loud sounds heard from far away.

First, the newborn cub is blind and depending on its mother. Second, the cub is opening its eyes, starting to walk, and learning to survive. Third, the young tiger is exploring the forest and practicing hunting. Fourth, the adult tiger is becoming strong, living alone, and protecting its own territory. Finally, the old tiger is getting weaker, moving less, and reaching the end of its life cycle.

The Sumatran tiger population is rapidly declining because of poaching, habitat loss, and human–tiger conflict. To save this species, researchers use tracking technology and population monitoring to collect important data and plan effective conservation efforts.

The Sumatran tiger is a carnivore. Its diet includes sambar deer, wild boar, small mammals, fresh meat, and animal bones. These animals give the tiger energy and help it survive in the wild.
